posted 11/12/2009 Bluffton Youth Sports (BYS) and Hilton Head Baseball Association (HHBA) announced they have agreed to create an advisory board comprised of 2 representatives from each organization. The role of the advisory board will be to represent the two associations with officials from the county, towns and their parent organization in discussions about improvements for youth baseball and softball. Together, BYS and HHBA provide baseball and softball to over 1000 participants. Players range in age from 4 to 14 and live south of the Broad River. The advisory board will seek to consolidate purchasing power and share best practices. BYS and HHBA are parent run organizations offering Dixie Organization sanctioned sports. Dixie has leagues in 11 states across the southeast. BYS has a ten year history in Bluffton and assumed full responsibility with the 2009 season. HHBA has a 31 year history in Hilton Head including two world championship teams.
