Photo Schedule
by posted 03/15/2010

Lowcountry Studios is proud to be the photography provider for BYS again this season. Last year, our plan was to take photos on Opening Day but the weather did not cooperate. This year, we are hoping for better weather Opening Day weekend and our goal is to get all individual and team photos taken this weekend, before the season starts. This will get the photos in your hands much more quickly than last year when we were taking photos before games throughout the season.

Please review the photo schedule below. We ask that you arrive at least five minutes prior to your team's start time to check in and verify your contact information. Ordering will be done online again this year, and we need correct e-mail addresses to ensure that you get the link to your child's proofs. Also, please ensure that players bring their glove. We will have bats available to use for poses, but if your player wants their own bat in the picture, they are welcome to bring them.

Press Release
posted 11/12/2009

Bluffton Youth Sports (BYS) and Hilton Head Baseball Association (HHBA) announced they have agreed to create an advisory board comprised of 2 representatives from each organization. The role of the advisory board will be to represent the two associations with officials from the county, towns and their parent organization in discussions about improvements for youth baseball and softball. Together, BYS and HHBA provide baseball and softball to over 1000 participants.   Players range in age from 4 to 14 and live south of the Broad River. The advisory board will seek to consolidate purchasing power and share best practices.  BYS and HHBA are parent run organizations offering Dixie Organization sanctioned sports.  Dixie has leagues in 11 states across the southeast.   BYS has a ten year history in Bluffton and assumed full responsibility with the 2009 season.   HHBA has a 31 year history in Hilton Head including two world championship teams. Justin Neuman, BYS President, commented: “We are excited about partnering with Hilton Head to improve the competitiveness of baseball, expand softball participation, and leverage the experience HHBA has in operating a successful youth sports league.” Dana Facenda, HHBA President, stated: “BYS has seen its participation numbers grow dramatically in recent years and we’re looking forward to being a part of their future growth. This partnership will provide much improved opportunities for player and coach training plus numerous other benefits to both organizations.” To learn more about these associations please visit their websites at: www.blufftonyouthsports.com and www.hhba.org.
