AA National All-Stars Prepare to Compete at State Tournament
by ryan adkins posted 07/01/2009

Both AA All-Star teams played great ball at the Bluffton hosted AA Dixie Youth Disctrict Tournament.    The teams competed against Hampton-Varnville, Ridgeland, Hilton Head Island, Beaufort East, and Beaufort American.  Hampton-Varnville left the tournament undefeated and advances to the South Carolina Dixie Youth AA State Tournament.   Bluffton American lost in the semi-finals to the Bluffton Nationals.   The Bluffton Nationals (pictured above) will advance to the state tournament as the 2nd Place finisher.   The Nationals lost to Hampton-Varnville in a hard fought battle extending into extra innings and delayed twice for rain.     Congratulations to both teams for performing so well.   We can expect great things from this age group in years to come.   Good luck to the Nationals on July 11 in Lexington.

ALL ACTION photos have now been posted to the ordering site. Photos are sorted by division and then by team. Please take a look and see if we captured any exciting moments from your child's baseball or softball season. Action shots are a great choice for Level 2 prints, Kling-Ons (wall clings like Fatheads), statuettes, and other specialty products, as well as for prints.

Hilton Head parents: If your child's team played against BYS teams during the regular season, we may have photos of your player as well. Click the link below, then click the appropriate BYS division ACTION link and look for "Hilton Head," "Non-Bluffton" or "Other" in the team drop down menu.

Bluffton Blaze Continues Streak with Another Championship
posted 06/23/2009

Just one week after winning the Carolina State Champion, the Bluffton Blaze travelled to Georgia to compete at the Garden City 9th Annual Jay Harrell Baseball Classic.   The Blaze saw some tough competition from nine teams all over the Savannah area but emerged undefeated after beating the Effingham Sand Sharks for the Championship.

In the last two tournaments the Bluffton Blaze have gone 9-0.   This was the last tournament of the spring season and the whole team, especially parents, are looking forward to the summer break.  The Blaze will resume tournament play in the fall.

Bluffton Blaze Wins Carolina State Championship
posted 06/15/2009

Congratulations to the 10U Bluffton Blaze for taking first place in the USSSA Carolina State Championship tournament.    The Blaze competed in Florence, SC on June 13 and 14.    The key to their success was allowing only 11 runs in 22 innings of play.   Errors were very rare for the 10 year old players.    The team went undefeated in 4 games.   Seven other teams from North and South Carolina competed for the title.

Update on Picture Ordering
by posted 05/21/2009

Individual and team pictures have now been posted for ALL DIVISIONS. If you have not received an e-mail (possibly due to a spam filter or incorrect e-mail address in the BYS system), you may click the following link to locate your pictures:

c

From there, click the link for the division you want. You may then search by player's last name or by team. To view a larger version of a photo, click the desired photo and on the next screen there will be a "view larger" link. Please keep in mind that the photos on the website are low quality to protect our copyright. The actual printed photos are of much higher resolution and quality.

Please note that if you cannot find individual pictures for your son or daughter, it means that they were not taken, either because they were not present on their team's photo day or because they refused individual pictures. The one exception is the Double-A Tigers, where we've had some confusion matching player names to photos. That should all be corrected now.

If you would like individual photos for a player who has not had them taken, please call us at 843-706-5029.
